Mid-Atlantic Handheld Conference

I just returned from the Mid-Atlantic Handheld Conference in Salisbury, MD and really enjoyed this year's conference. I really liked the atmosphere of a smaller, focused conference and would love to see more of these types of events across the country. The learning opportunities for participants

For those who were unable to attend, here is a link the conference wiki, including information from my sessions on podcasting, integrated curriculum content for handhelds, and creating handheld content.

Thanks to everyone who attended this conference and especially the conference coordinators, Seaford School District, Wicomico County Public Schools, and Salisbury University.

Welcome!

Welcome to our blog. It is primarily authored by me, Karen Fasimpaur. I have been telling educators across the country about what powerful tools blogs and wikis are for education for a while now. I've been putting off publishing my own blog (because of other time commitments, not being sure what I have to say is that interesting, and the general tendency to procrastinate, among other things), but I'm now finally here. Soon, we will likely significantly revise our email newsletter to be more of a digest of this blog, so stay tuned for more on that.

In the meantime, I hope to use this blog to share information about new mobile technology news, best practices at schools around the country, and various other cool things of interest. If you have comments or suggestions about this blog or mobile technology and education, please chime in, either by posting a comment here or emailing us.
