It’s a busy time of the year for many of us, so on this show we’re going to take a little break and listen to some podcasts just for fun! (No school-related content this time.) There are podcasts about almost every leisure activity you can imagine from movie reviews to cooking, travel to sports, comedy to knitting.Loading...
I hope you enjoy the podcasts we’ve included here and take the opportunity to look for a podcast about your own favorite activities. Happy holidays!
Included in this show are:
This is a weekly podcast hosted by Adam Kempenaar and Matty Robinson. The show can also be heard on Chicago Public Radio and features reviews of current movies, top 5 lists, listener comments, and more.
This weekly podcast from Golf Made Simple features tips to improve your golf game from how to hit the ball farther to how to swing your driver.
This is a series of video podcasts from Epicurious magazine. They are produced weekly and include useful features such as how to caramelize sugar, how to stuff a turkey, and how to open a bottle of champagne. They are short (most under 2 minutes) and easy to follow, and having them in a video format is very helpful.
If you don’t have time to read the New York Times Book Review every week, this podcast is a great way to catch up. The podcasts air weekly and are generally about 20 minutes long.
This group produced audio tours of a large variety of popular cities on 6 continents. Some are free; others have a fee associated and include more in-depth information, including maps.
In January, we’ll be doing a show featuring podcasts produced by secondary students. If you produce a podcast with secondary students or have a favorite in this category, send me an email and let me know.
Until then, have a happy holidays, and enjoy your break!
