Integrating Handhelds into the Writing Curriculum is a curriculum that integrates handheld computers into writing instruction, targeted at upper elementary and middle school classrooms.

Designed to be used with Palm or Windows Mobile handhelds, the lessons in this curriculum have a variety of resources that can also be used on laptop or desktop computers. This curriculum includes 44 lessons for infusing technology into the writing process. These lessons cover every step from brainstorming and organizing to revision and editing to publishing and presenting. The lessons include strategies for writing personal narratives, expository essays, and persuasive pieces.

Also included is a CD with a variety of electronic resources, such as ebooks, quizzes, templates, handouts, photographs, assessment rubrics, and more. The CD includes the Writer's Style Guide, a comprehensive ebook that includes information on the writing process, a grammar handbook, punctuation guidelines, mechanics and usage rules, and information on citing sources.
